What is my Mean Green card?

You have 2 options to choose from when obtaining our UNT ID card.

1)Mean Green Standard card – will be your official campus ID providing access to the library, computing labs, campus dining, recreational center and more.

2)Mean Green debit card – will be your official campus ID providing the same access as the standard card PLUS added banking convenience.

Where can I use my Mean Green card?

The Mean Green standard and Mean Green debit card gives you access to many things on campus: recreational sports, student union activities, access to computer labs,

athletic events, going to the Health Center, going to Dining Halls, as well as security access.

If you choose the Mean Green debit card, you must open an account with Wells Fargo and you will have the purchasing power wherever Visa debit card is accepted.

Where can I get my Mean Green card?

Both card options may be requested at ID Systems located in the Eagle Student Services Center, room 105.  Office hours are 8:15 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.  The UNT Dallas Campus is also available for your convenience.

How do I get a duplicate Mean Green card?

Depending on which card you have you will need to do the following:

If you have the standard card you may have a duplicate card made at the ID Systems office or a duplicated card may be ordered from the UNT Dallas campus.  The cost is $10.00.

If you have the Mean Green debit card you will need to request a temporary card at the ID Systems Office at no charge.  You will also need to contact Wells Fargo to report your card lost/stolen and request a duplicate card to be issued.

What if my Mean Green card is not working correctly?

The most frequent problem is within the magnetic stripe on the back of your card, which contains information needed when using the access control

card readers.  The magnetic stripe is also used for banking transactions if you have a Mean Green debit card.  If the stripe is damaged or encoded improperly, the card

will not scan accurately.  Call or come by the ID Systems office when you are experiencing a problem with your UNT card functions.  If you are enrolled

in the Wells Fargo debit program and your bank stripe is not working, you will need to contact Wells Fargo, 1-800-TO-WELLS.

Mean Green card Access:

There are many places on campus which require a Mean Green card to gain entrance to a facility or event:

·         Music practice rooms

·         Computer labs

·         Health Center

·         Student Union activities

When does my Mean Green card expire?

As long as you remain enrolled and pay your fees at UNT, your Mean Green card (both the standard card and debit card) will automatically activate each semester.  Students are responsible for keeping their card in good condition, whether they are currently enrolled or sitting out a semester.

What do I do if my card is lost or stolen?

Contact the ID Systems office immediately at (940) 565-4481 or submit a question to http://unt.custhelp.com to have your card cancelled.  You will also need to

contact Wells Fargo to cancel the debit card access.
