To request a transcript by mail or fax:

All financial and administrative obligations to the University must be met  before an official UNT transcript can be processed.

1.  To check for blocks on your record, visit my.unt.edu.

2.  Print FORMAdobe Acrobat Required to Download Form

No payment is necessary for official or unofficial UNT transcripts.

Once a written request is received, the transcript is processed and mailed within 3 to 5 working days.
  NOTE:  During peak periods transcript processing may take longer.

To request a transcript in person:

To order and/or receive unofficial/official UNT transcripts in person, go to the First floor of the Registrar's Office in the Eagle Student Services Center Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with a picture ID.  Limited transcript production is also available at the Extended Hours Desk Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

If you are ordering an unofficial transfer school transcript in person, the following schedule applies:

If a transcript is ordered in person by:   

Available for pickup at: 
9:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m.
11:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m.
2:30 p.m. 4:30 p.m.
after 2:30 p.m. Available next working day at 9:30 a.m.
after 4:30 p.m. Available next working day at 11:30 a.m.

To pick up an official/unofficial UNT transcript between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, please fax a request anytime before 2:30 p.m. on the same day.

To pick up an official/unofficial UNT transcript between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Saturday, please fax a request anytime before 2:30 p.m. on the previous Friday.

NOTE: During peak processing periods (e.g. Registration, Add/Drop periods, etc.), the above schedule may be changed.  You may call (940) 565-2111 to verify schedule.

Transcripts orders may be placed at the ESSC extended hours desk as well.

Student Consent for Release of Academic Records
Students may authorize someone else to order transcripts and certification letters on their behalf.  The person ordering the document must have a written note signed by a student. The note should contain the following information:

  • the name of the person who has permission to order the transcript

  • whether the document is to be picked up or mailed out of the office (mailing address should be included)

  • the student's name, social security number, date of birth, and approximate dates of attendance at North Texas

  • the type of certification letter, if applicable (e.g. degree certification, academic standing, etc.)

  • the student's written signature

  • the person ordering the document will need to present a picture ID.
