Summer 2013 Calendar
Summer 2013 consists of six sessions included within one term. Summer sessions are grouped around three common beginning dates that fall within three common registration periods and payment deadline and grade reporting periods. Sessions listed according to the three common beginning dates:

| Description | Registration for continuing students (enrolled Summer 2012, Fall 2012 or Spring 2013). Students should contact the department of their major for specific information related to advising and registration. Registration will continue until 4:30 PM May 10, 2013 for 3W1, 8W1,& SUM. Registration will continue until 4:30 PM May 31, 2013 for 5W1 & 10W. Registration will continue until 4:30 PM July 5, 2013 for 5W2. |
| May 10, Friday | Payment deadline 5 p.m. for Registration for 3W1, 8W1, & SUM sessions. Account balances for Summer 2013 will be available once you complete registration. Go to EIS Student Center at my.unt.edu to view your bill. Last day for all graduate students new to UNT and all former graduate students (those who have not been enrolled at least once during the 12 months prior to summer and/or who have received a degree from UNT since their last enrollment) to submit graduate admission application for summer 3W1, 8W1 and SUM session regular registration. All graduate applicants should refer to college/departmental information in the Graduate Catalog for additional admission deadlines. | May 30, Thursday | Last day to file undergraduate degree application for August graduation without a late fee. After this date, a late fee will be required. |
| June7, Friday | Last day to file graduate degree application for August graduation with late fee. No applications for August graduation will be accepted after this date. |
| June 21, Friday | Last day for master’s and doctoral degree applicants for August graduation to file original defended copy of thesis or dissertation in graduate deans office. |
| June 28, Friday | Last day to file undergraduate degree application for August graduation with late fee. No applications will be accepted after this date. |

| July 12, Friday | Beginning this date, a student who wishes to drop a course for 5W2 must first receive written consent of the instructor. An automatic grade of W is assigned. |
| July 18, Thursday | Last day for a change in pass/no pass for 5W2 session course. Last day to drop a course or withdraw from the 5W2 session with grade of W for courses that a student is not passing. After this date a grade of WF for 5W2 may be recorded. |
| July 19, Friday | Beginning this date, instructor may drop students with grade of WF for nonattendance for 5W2 session. |
| July 23, Tuesday | 5W2 midsemester. |
| July 31, Wednesday | Last day to drop a course with consent of the instructor for 5W2. Last day for an instructor to drop a student with a grade of WF for non-attendance for 5W2 session. Last day to withdraw from the 5W2 session. Process must be completed in the Dean of Student's Office |

| August 2, Friday | Last day for master's and doctoral degree applicants for August graduation to return the final corrected copy of previously filed thesis or dissertation based on changes required by the graduate reader after the initial submission of the defended paper. Applicants who filed for Summer graduation but did not meet the Summer graduation deadline may submit thesis or dissertation by this date to graduate in the subsequent semester. Further enrollment in thesis or dissertation may not be required for students meeting this filing deadline. |
