Note: UNT is closed January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr Day

To Withdraw from the Semester (Drop All Courses)
Friday, April 20, 2012
Students may withdraw from the semester (drop ALL courses for the semester) at the Registrar's Office during office hours. You must present ID to withdraw.
Students may also send a Fax to the Registrar's Office at (940) 565-4463. You should send the fax to the Registrar's Office before 5:00 p.m. The fax should include the following information:
- Name
- Student ID number
- Semester and course to be dropped
- Signature
- Return address
- Indicate if you have or have not attended class
The following chart shows important dates related to withdrawal:

| February 27 - April 20, 2012 | A grade of W or WF is assigned for all courses as appropriate. Refer to the Graduate or Undergraduate catalog for more information. |
Note: Students receiving financial aid must also contact Student Financial Aid and Scholarships before dropping a class or withdrawing. Students receiving student loans may be required to complete loan exit counseling with a financial aid counselor before they are permitted to withdraw. Loan exit packets may also be mailed to students.
To receive a refund for a parking permit, you will need to return the parking permit to the Parking Office in the Sullivant Public Safety Center.

If a student officially withdraws, unofficially withdraws, ceases attendance, or is administratively withdrawn from UNT, he or she will owe a repayment of the financial aid funds to the program(s) from which they (or their parents) were awarded (thus owing a debt to the university).
Federal regulations require post-secondary institutions to calculate the amount of Title IV funds (aid) earned during the term from which the student withdrew or ceased attending. Factors to consider in the calculation include: date of withdrawal, the total amount of Title IV aid eligibility, tuition and fee charges, room and board charges (if applicable), and class attendance.
