Registrar Parking and Motor VehiclesParking information -- parking permits Motor Vehicle Regulations People who operate motor vehicles and bicycles on the UNT campus must comply with the Texas Uniform Traffic Code and the published university regulations regarding vehicle use, parking, display of decals, and penalties for violation. The regulations are available at the University Parking Services website. All bicycles must be registered (no charge) and may be parked in bicycle racks only. Bicycle riders may not ride bicycles on sidewalks or other areas on campus. See www.unt.edu/police for information. Parking Information -- Parking Permits Parking permits are available for sale throughout the academic year and expire each August. (See bottom of permit for expiration date.) Sales are prorated on a semester basis. See the Parking Services website for parking regulations and maps detailing parking areas. You are responsible for knowing and following the university parking regulations. How to Purchase a Parking Permit Parking permits are available through a number of sources, based on the type of permit desired. All permits are sold on a first-come/first-serve basis.
