Online General Scholarship Application Help

Below are a few of the common problems that students encounter while using the Online General Scholarship Application. Because the deadline to apply is March 1st, some users will experience slow website performace as we near the deadline.

Logging In

If this the first time you have applied, you must first register by clicking on the "start here" button seen below.

The information that you use to log into my.unt.edu is not the same information used to log into this application.

Forgotten Password

If you have previously registered, you may retrieve your password by clicking on the "Forgot My Password" link.

This will send an email to the email address that you registered with. If you have reset your password and have not received a temporary password within a few hours, please check your junk mail/SPAM folders.

Academic Information

When filling out the academic portion of the application, you may estimate your GPA. An example is noted below. We will use your official UNT GPA when we make scholarship awards.

If you are a double major or thinking about changing your major, we will use the information that is on file in the Registrar's office to determine which scholarships you are eligble for.

Uploading documents and Essay questions

If you are on the screens shown below, please just click the "save and continue" button at the bottom of the screen. Not all scholarships require an essay or documents to be uploaded. If they are needed, you will be prompted at a later time to do so.

Make sure you apply!

Once you get to the following screen which lists all of the scholarships, you still have one more step to go in order to apply.

You must click on "Apply Now" for each scholarship you are trying to receive.
