To be considered for General Academic Scholarships you must be an entering freshman in the top quarter of your high school graduating class with at least an 1100 SAT or 24 ACT (written portion excluded); or, be a continuing/transfer student with at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the end of Fall 2007. All applicants must have an assigned UNT ID number to submit an application. Submission deadline is March 1, 2008 at 11pm CST.
Instructions:Completed application and any required document(s) must be received by Student Financial Aid and Scholarships no later than March 1, 2008 at 11pm CST to be considered for the 2008-2009 academic year. All applicants will be matched for each university-sponsored academic scholarship for which they qualify. Most awards will be announced in late June.
Any essays, letters of recommendations, or other documents required MUST be attached to your online application when it is submitted. The application will state when letters of recommendation, essays, etc. are required for a scholarship. All submitted document attachments become the property of UNT and will not be returned. Do not submit your application until you have secured all information required. Only one application submission is allowed.
Note to all newly admitted students: All high school records, prior college records and entrance exams must be current in Admissions by March 1, 2008 to be considered. New students must have an assigned UNT ID number to apply. Submitting a General Academic Scholarship application will automatically place a student into the competition for a variety of scholarships for which the student is eligible.
