Adding a class with related components

Sometimes when you try to add a class, you might see the following screen:

Through this screen, MyUNT might be asking you to

• Add a related component to the class you’re trying to add

  A related component is a class you have to take at the same time as another class. For example, language and science classes often come with labs you have to take along with the lecture. Also, chemistry classes sometimes come with both a lab AND a recitation.

   

  As in the example above, you could try to add Spanish 1010 to your schedule. To take that class, you have to take a required lab as well. To add the lab,

   

  1. Click beside the Related Component 1 box.

  2. Click the lab section you would like to take from the list.  More info

     Because this screen does not show you the days and times that the sections meet, you might need to see the schedule of classes.

      

  3. Click OK.

  4. Click Submit to add the class to your schedule.

• Add a permission number to a class

• Choose the amount of hours you would like the class to be worth
